St. Rita students rise to the challenge

St. Rita School fourth-graders were assigned a STEM Challenge to create a device to clean dirty water. They were given only certain items to purchase and a $10 budget to work with. Each team was to clean at least a half cup of water. St. Rita School is at 33200 Baldwin Road in Solon.

Twinsburg superintendent's contract renewed for three years

The Twinsburg School Board voted 4-1 to approve a new contract for Superintendent Kathryn Powers, effective Aug. 1, 2017 through July 31, 2020, at its March 1 meeting.

School levy moves toward spring ballot

TWINSBURG -- The Board of Education unanimously approved placing a 6.9-mill tax levy on the May 2 ballot at its Jan. 18 meeting. The continuing levy would generate about $5.65 million per year in property tax revenue and cost the owner of a $100,000 home $241.50 per year.
