Asks that 'both sides' to Old School discussion be presented
I feel the need to comment on the constant usage and reference to the "Save The Old School Committee" any time the Old School is brought up in an article.
The articles always make out this "grass roots" effort as representing a huge portion of the city. Nothing could be further from the truth.
While many of us have sympathized with preserving history, this building is an eyesore. This grassroots effort seems to have about 450 people in a Facebook group of which about 10 (generously) may actually post. They have had four years to come present a comprehensive plan, funding and grants.
In that time, a one-page wish list and a scrawled-upon napkin have been presented to the public. Please try and present both sides to this discussion. You will find many more people in the city wish this structure removed so that the city can progress forward.

Thank you Thomas! While I'm not "anti Old School" it's always bothered me that the "Save the Old School Committee" has been referenced as if they are some grand group when they simply aren't.
