Mildred "Eloise"Long, ne Ware, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2016 at the age of 93.

Born on June 28, 1923, she earned her bachelor's degree in education from Otterbein College. She taught for 32 years, teaching in the Dayton Public Schools and retiring from Fernway Elementary in the Shaker Heights, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Ruth Ware, her husband Dewey, and her son Ronald "Dwight" Long. Her legacy lives on in her surviving children, Dennis Long of Maple Heights, Dee Ann (Joe) Marsky of Shaker Heights and Denise Bosso of Twinsburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

She was known by family and friends for her fierce independence, joyous laugh, and caring and non judgmental nature.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Wings of Love, Devoted Companions, and Crossroads Hospice. Any donations should be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Uniontown, Ohio.

A celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street Akron, Ohio) on Wednesday, November 30 from 6 - 7 pm.

Internment will take place at a later date in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania.
