TWINSBURG -- The Twinsburg Fire Department has begun hydrant flushing throughout the community, said Twinsburg Fire Chief Tim Morgan at Council's May 9 meeting.

The flushing is necessary to maintain the nearly 1,900 fire hydrants located throughout the city and Twinsburg Township, according to the TFD.

The fire department hopes to have the flushing completed before the end of summer, Morgan said. The department had initially hoped that fire hyrdrant flushing would be done by June 30, but now expects flushing to continue through July or August "because of the volume of work we are doing," Morgan said.
