Our Redeemer golf outing seeks teams
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Advent Lutheran Church, both of Solon, and Hands, Hearts and Homes Outreach will sponsor a charity golf outing at 9:30 a.m. June 9 at Fowler's Mill Golf Course, 13095 Rockhaven Road, Chesterland. Cost includes 18 holes, a cart, valet bag service, breakfast, lunch, banquet and prizes. Additional events include a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and prizes. Registration and continental breakfast will be at 8 a.m. and a shotgun scramble will be at 9:30 a.m. Some of the encore events will be longest drive, longest putt, hole-in-one and closest-to-the-pin.
H3O is a non-profit charitable organization that assists with the distribution of furniture and household furnishings to individuals and families coming out of shelters who need a fresh start in private homes of their own. H3O provides personal hygiene items, clothing and even food supplies to the homeless and needy individuals and families in the greater Cleveland area.

Passion through music at Christ the King
The public is invited to a special musical presentation of "The Tomb Is Empty Now: Proclaim the Joy of Easter's Song," written by Joel Lindsey and Cliff Duren, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 10285 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg. This musical work portrays the Passion of the Christ through an array of celebratory and thought-provoking songs, songs of deeply-felt pain and sorrow, and songs of great rejoicing. A choir of more than 20 singers under the direction of music director Kevin Basom will present a cantata April 30 at 8:30 a.m. The service will include Holy Communion and there is a staffed nursery for pre-kindergarteners during Sunday worship services. Christ the King is located across Ravenna Road from R.B. Chamberlin School and in front of Dodge Intermediate School. The Rev. Matthew Groenke is pastor. Christ the King hosts day camp
An exciting day camp will be hosted and by Christ the King Lutheran Church June 12 to 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a nutritious daily lunch and snacks. It is open to students entering first grade through those entering seventh grade. It will be at 10285 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg. Activities will include crafts, singing, games, sports, Bible study and special events such as a visit from the fire department and a hike with a professional naturalist. This is a cooperative effort between Christ the King Lutheran Church and Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ohio.
