TWINSBURG TOWNSHIP -- An Eaton Street man has been arrested and charged with one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor May 19, after he told police he was being extorted by a porn site.

Julius Mays, 22, reportedly visited a porn website May 18 that contained child pornography, with the intention of downloading illicit material. He had entered his personal information into the website.

The next day, Mays reported that received an email from the website claiming that they were the police, and that if he did not send $5,000 they would send his personal information to the local police department.

Mays then went to the Twinsburg Police Department, which contacted the Summit County Sheriff's Office. During the sheriff's investigation, Mays reportedly confessed to visiting the website and downloading child pornography from other websites.

He was transported to Summit County Jail. Pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor is a fifth-degree felony. Police say further charges are pending.
